I recently met Joel who created an initiative called “bring your own bike” BYOB. He is going to bike through Malawi, Central Africa to raise funds, interest, and to get bikes to the Taulo Project. BYOBike’s initiative is to establish locally run bicycle tours out of the Taulo Region as a sustainable income generating activity. The bike Joel will bring for his pilot tour will be left there for local use. Each person participating in a BYOBike tour will bring their own bike and leave it for use on-site. I am inspired by Joel’s initiative, enthusiasm and commitment to making a difference.

As part of my own commitment to contribute towards positive change in the world every month, either through funds or time, I decided to  contribute  a month of coaching and a copy of The Mini-Retreat Solution for the silent auction at the upcoming fundraiser party “The World on Wheels” on Wednesday.

To learn more about BYOB, check out Joel’s website www.bringyourownbike.ca or even better, come to “The World on Wheels” party, Wednesday night in Victoria.
